Nice to meet you!

Hey there, my name is Matt McMillon.

At Sound Refuge Therapy, I bring my experience shaped by years of working both locally in Seattle and internationally with communities navigating trauma, loss, and displacement. My work is grounded in supporting individuals and couples through some of life’s most painful and complex experiences—whether that’s healing from infidelity and betrayal, processing grief, or feeling stuck in understanding your identity and emotions.

I believe that when we begin to understand ourselves more fully and feel a sense of internal integration, it naturally transforms the way we relate to others. Therapy is not always easy—it asks for honesty, courage, and vulnerability—but it can be a powerful force for meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to offer a space where you feel supported in doing that work at your own pace, and in a way that honors your whole story.
